Topic: Prayer + Coffee + Serving
God has designed for us to live in community with one another, but the purpose of community does not end with us just praying for one another and a good cup of coffee. We follow Jesus' example and fulfill the purpose of Christian community by cultivating a heart for others. This small group's focus is on serving with The Neighborhood Thrift Store (NTS) in mind. NTS is a ministry of Crossview Covenant Church. What could this group look like? It could be praying for one another and for those who serve and work at the thrift store; sharing a cup of coffee; reading a short Bible passage; helping at the thrift store; donating objects to the thrift store and encouraging others to do the same; and/or maybe even volunteering at Food for All by handing out food the 2nd Saturday of every month. It is a group to share life, faith and service together. We know the NTS isn't the only place one can serve, but it is a great place to start, especially when doing it with others. Group meets: Sept. 27, Oct. 11, Oct. 25, Nov. 8, Nov. 22, and Dec. 6.
Where & When: At The Neighborhood Thrift Store-- Every other Wednesday 8:30-9:30am, plus some serving opportunities (Begins Sept. 27)
