Senior Pastor Announcement

Two weeks ago Brad and Stacy Jackson visited Crossview Covenant Church as part of the Senior Pastor search process. The Candidating Weekend included meeting with several members of Crossview, hosting a Q & A and preaching on Sunday morning. For the next week, the Jacksons and the congregation prayed for each other. Crossview held a Town Hall Meeting and then held a Special Congregational Meeting that approved the calling of Brad as the next Senior Pastor of Crossview.

After praying and sensing the call of God to serve at Crossview, Brad has accepted the call to become the next Senior Pastor of Crossview! He and Stacy are excited to serve the Lord here and we are thankful for their commitment.

While we are working out the details for when Brad will start, Brad does have significant responsibilities to transition out of at Christ Presbyterian Church. We will support him in this transition and continue to appreciate the work of Pastor Rich and the staff during this time.

Praise the Lord for this next chapter in the history of Crossview! Please continue to pray for the Jacksons and the details around the transition.

Update - Jan. 4, 2013

Peace and greetings to you from the Crossview Pastoral Search Committee! Consider the following scripture from Colossians 1:11, reflecting on our effort to let God lead Crossview to its new Senior pastor: “May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy”

We have conducted screening interviews and are proceeding to an extended round of interviews that we anticipate being 4-6 hours per interview with each of our final candidates. Given the challenges of scheduling over Christmas and New Years, we will begin these interviews in January. Our hope is to emerge from this round of interviews with a recommendation to bring forward to the Church Council. Based on the experiences of past Search Committees, we know that this is a crucial phase in the process and the in depth discussions with the candidates is critical for both Crossview and the candidates. It is at this stage that candidates and search committees sometimes decide it is not a good fit. We remain hopeful that we have our final candidate in our current pool but must remain open to God’s leading in the process. We ask for continued prayers for discernment and direction for all Search Committee members and candidates.

Update - Nov. 30, 2012

Peace and greetings to you from the Crossview Pastor Search Committee! Please consider the following scripture from 1 Corinthians 15:58, which encourages us as a congregation to continue to labor steadfastly for the Kingdom: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

At this point the Search Committee has a select group of candidates that are being further reviewed for our Senior Pastoral vacancy. It is important that during these efforts the Search Committee and our congregation considers the seasonal obligations of these candidates. We need to be sensitive and respectful to their ministerial needs in their current church homes. Throughout this process please note that there is unity amongst the Search Committee members as to the select group that is currently under review. Thank you for your ongoing prayerful support in this effort to secure our leadership for the future of God’s people here at Crossview Covenant Church!
