Hope for Hurting Parents @ Crossview (Thursdays at 9:30am)

Leader: Karen Herwig

Parenting is easily the most difficult job we will ever have. While our role may change as our children enter adulthood, we are still their parents. Sometimes, the hoped for, prayed for outcome for their lives doesn’t come in the way we expected. Our children may make choices, experience depression, mental illnesses, abuse, or addictions that take them down difficult and destructive paths. We find ourselves isolated and wondering where is God in all of this. The pain of watching your child walk a destructive path can be overwhelmingly painful but there is hope.

Hope for Hurting Parents is not lead by professional counselors, but by parents who have experienced the guilt, fear, isolation and heartache along the journey of parenting. We are a community of encouragers and prayer warriors sharing with one another how the Lord sustains us so that we might continue to love our child through their darkness. We would love to share this journey with you. You are not alone!
