A small group focused on discussing how our Christian faith calls us to care for, serve and work together with people on the margins. The first Sunday of the month will be more of a small group conversation. The third Sunday of the month, the small group will team-up to lead the Faith & Justice Learning Seminars with representatives from local organizations as they present on various justice topics (see below).
Where & When: Crossview in Classroom 1—1st & 3rd Sundays of the month starting October 7 (6:30-8:00pm).
Who: All ages. Drop-ins and one-time visitors are welcome.
October 7 & 21: Family Violence (spouse abuse, child abuse & neglect) with AVA and CADA
November 4 & 18: Homelessness & Lack of Affordable Housing with Connections Ministry and Partners for Affordable Housing
December 2 & 16: Fighting Poverty in our Community with PACT Ministries, Holy Grounds & The Salvation Army
January 6 & 20: Sexual Orientation Discussion with resources from the Embrace Curriculum in harmony with the Evangelical Covenant Church
February 3 & 17: Criminal Justice Reform Discussion with Blue Earth County Yellow Line Project & Evangelical Covenant Church Mass Incarceration Resources
March 3 & 17: People with Disabilities and Exceptionalities with SMILES and Covenant Enabling Residences
April 7 & 28: (4th Sunday due to Easter) Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy with MN Council of Churches, Lincoln Community Center, and the Evangelical Covenant Church 2014 Resolution on Immigration
May 5 & 19: Racial Justice & Reconciliation Discussion with Evangelical Covenant Church resources and a panel of local community members
