Team World Vision-Crossview 2018
In Africa they say, “Water is Life.” About 668 million people in the world lack access to safe drinking water. Children and women often walk five to ten miles a day to gather water that isn’t even safe to drink; water that can make them sick. Over 250,000 people in the Gemena region of DR Congo still lack access to clean water.
What if by running, walking or biking, you could help communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo gain access to clean, safe water?
If you’ve ever felt moved by the suffering of children and families in the Congo, and want to see God work in your own life and community, this is your chance to make a difference!
Mankato Marathon+Half Marathon - Sunday, October 21, 2018
Our team of runners and walkers will be training for the Mankato Marathon (full, half-marathon, or 10K) on Sunday, Oct. 21, and fundraising by sharing our stories (why we’re doing this and the impact it’s making in our lives) in order to provide clean water for families in the Congo. Anyone can be a part of the team! You can do this! (If you are planning to complete the 10K or run as part of a relay team, choose Runner-Half Marathon when you register. Make sure to choose "Join a Team" (not Individual) and select Crossview Covenant Church.)
RIVER RAMBLE BIKE TEAM - Sunday, October 7, 2018
