What Now? Positive Parenting after a Pandemic
Wednesday, May 26 at 7-8pm
In-Person at Crossview-Howard Drive or on Zoom

It's been a big, rough year and COVID continues to impact the mental health of both children and parents. We want to equip you to be a better parent and have more meaningful connection with your spouse as your family adapts to this unprecedented experience. Join us for a special presentation by Amanda Cook, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adolescents, couples, and individual adult clients. She specializes in relationship therapy and body-oriented trauma work. Amanda will provide tools for all parents to be emotionally healthy, whether you feel as though things are going well at home or you could use some help.

This is a free presentation for you and your friends! Let’s start summer 2021 off on the right foot, with tools to help our families enjoy it even more.

Amanda will be presenting on Zoom, however, you can join either in person or online (email nextgen(at)crossviewcov.church for the Zoom link). If there are questions that you would like to have Amanda address, please send them to nextgen(at)crossviewcov.church and we will compile the most popular questions.

Global 6K for Clean Water

3813.jpg

Saturday, May 4, 2019
Time: 9:30am (Check-In begins at 8:30am)
Adult Registration: $50
Youth Registration: $25

Join us on Saturday, May 4, as we walk, run, and stroller for clean water in the Congo! You are part of a global movement - last year over 48,000 people participated in the Global 6K, which meant more than 48,000 people gained access to life-changing clean water. Praise God!

Here are some important details about the Global 6K at Crossview:

Schedule for Saturday, May 4
8:30am - Check-in and "spirit station" opens (our "spirit station" will have orange beads, cowbells and face paint to rock out your 6K!)
9:20am - Stretching & Warm Ups
9:25am - Team Photo, prayer & final instructions (don't miss this!)
9:30am - Global 6K begins (see the course map here)

Remember to wear your Global 6k t-shirt and pin your bib on your shirt. Pray for that child and consider sponsoring them! Did you know that by sponsoring a child you also help 4 other children have opportunities for access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene, education, protection from sex trafficking, childhood marriage, and genital mutilation, and so much more?!? Instructions to sponsor your child came in your packet or we can help you do so on Saturday.

Race begins at 9:30am, this Saturday, May 4. Please arrive in plenty of time to check-in and be part of the Global 6k group photo at 9:20.

There will be post race snacks and water provided for participants. Also available from 8:15-11:00 will be Lou’s Lunch Wagon which will be selling breakfast sandwiches-hot dogs. $5.00 will get you a nice meal.

Please stay when you finish and cheer others as they cross the finish line.

0ur team has a goal of raising $15, 419.00. We’re already almost a third of the way there. Let’s blow this goal out of the WATER!!

Thank you for changing the lives of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo!

6 kilometers is the average distance that people in the developing world walk for water—water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. On Saturday, May 4, 2019, thousands of participants from around the globe will walk or run 6k to bring life-changing clean water to communities in need. Each participant's registration fee provides life-changing clean water for one person, so when you participate in the Global 6K for Water you take that 6K distance away from people in need.

(When you are registering and get to the section where you choose your “Role” - make sure to choose “Join a Team”)
